The Miller Theatre on Columbia Morningside Campus will present Mind, Memory and the Actor: A discussion between Michael Boyd (Artistic Director, Royal Shakespeare Company) and Dr. Oliver Sacks (Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, Columbia University).

Following his NY Public Library lecture in June, Michael Boyd continues his discussion with New Yorkers about his approach to theatre-making, performance and the RSC. This unique hour-long discussion, moderated by Columbia University President Lee C. Bollinger, will explore the intersection of art and science. Topics include the nature of identity, narrative, and performance, and the neurology of an actor's memory. Admission is free, but attendees must register in advance at www.universityprograms.columbia.edu/mind-memory-and-actor For more information about the RSC, please visit www.rsc.org.uk
