Rafael Moreno's FOTOS Returns to Producers Club for Limited Run

Rafael Moreno's family drama Fotos, which played to packed houses and critical acclaim last summer at The Producers Club, will return to the same venue by popular demand starting with previews on Thursday February 8.

The show's opening night performance will take place on Saturday February 10 after which it will run until Sunday March 4.

The play is written by Dominican born actor and playwright Rafael Moreno, and is directed by Audelco Award winning helmer Lawrence Floyd (Flambeaux).

Dramaturg is Janel C. Scarborough (Welcome to America- A Caribbean Musical).

Moreno also appears as an actor in the ensemble cast, alongside Victor Arnez, Sebastian Ruiz and Sean Moran.

Fotos tells the story of a latino immigrant family lead by patriarch Don Alberto (Arnez). Having fled the Dominican Republic to escape racial prejudice and injustice and to raise his family in America, he comes to realize that he and his three sons are collectively caught in a cycle of shattered hopes, innocence lost and painful secrets that could dramatically alter their lives.

The plays explores the family's urgent attempt to face their truths and heal their wounds before it is too late.

Brooklyn born Victor Arnez comes to Fotos as a veteran producer, director , coach and actor for the stage, and a seasoned practitioner both before and behind the camera as well. He is a founding member of The Production Company United Brotherz LLC.

Sebastian Ruiz is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Fotos marks his professional acting debut.

Sean Moran is a graduate of Hofstra University and has been acting since the age of 5. He has appeared onscreen in Law and Order and 30 Rock as well as Off Broadway in Widows (59 E 59) and A Very Merry... Scientology Pageant (New York Theater Workshop).

Rafael Moreno attended Stony Brook University and was trained in acting at HB Studios, where he studied under actor- director Austin Pendleton. In addition to writing and appearing in Fotos, he also serves as Producer of the play through his own entity Construct Theater Company, which he founded in 2009 as a vehicle to bring more diverse stories about ethnic minorities to the stage.

Fotos will play Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 5pm and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm and 6pm.

The Producer’s Club is located at 358 West 44th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues.
