Kenyon Phillips has announced that Rachel Ticotin (Man On Fire, Total Recall, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and Brad Calcaterra, owner and creative director of THE STUDIO in New York City, will perform the roles of his mother and father.
In addition, Mr. Phillips has confirmed at this time that author, playwright and actress Najla Said, who was recently profiled by Vogue, will direct the next incarnation of his autobiographical 75-minute rock opera, The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, when it returns to Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St., New York, NY 10003) on Friday, October 24th, 2014, at 7:00PM.
The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips uses an interactive rock-cabaret-variety show format - with several circus acts thrown in for good measure - to explore the past, present and future of downtown performance artist Kenyon Phillips. Kenyon says his inspiration for the project came from a desire "to take the traditional one-man show idea of 'here's my life story,' and throw a grenade in it."
Tickets are $22 each and available online HERE, by visiting the Joe's Pub box office, or by calling (212) 967-7555.
