What do a Baptist, a bro in handcuffs, and a botched funeral have in common? Find out in Reconciling, a rapid-fire dark comedy where one word has multiple meanings and shared phrases weave in and out of The Collective Unconscious to result in a dizzying coming-of-age tale.

Reconciling follows three pairs of twenty-somethings dealing with different coming of age problems. Two exes fight over their failed relationship and the once shared religious faith that came between them, one friend betrays another in the ultimate act of slut shaming, and two siblings finally confront each other over their family failures and secrets. These independent storylines play out simultaneously as tensions boil over and all six realize that in order to get to the end of their story, they'll have to help everyone else get there too.

Critics have called Reconciling "tremendous fun" (Three Weeks), "a dynamic work from an impressive new company" (Ed Fest Mag), and "ingeniously constructed and eloquently performed; worth seeing for its structure alone but also for the tales it tells" (Broadway Baby). Reconciling had its world premiere last year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received rave reviews to full houses.

Reconciling is written by Jenny King and directed by Julia Hinson. Emma Lee Roddy is the assistant director. Ryan Swift Joyner is the Sound Designer.

The cast of Reconciling features David Beckett, JoJo Ginn, Dillon Heape, Jenny King, Katie Morrill and Cesar Muñoz.

The Barrington Collective was formed in London in 2015 at East 15's MFA International Acting course. The company is dedicated to showcasing new and underrepresented voices in theatre with an inaugural season featuring all female playwrights. The Barrington Collective is honored and excited to produce Reconciling for its American premiere at FringeNYC.

Performances will be held on Sunday, August 14 at 7:30pm, Thursday, August 18 at 5:45pm, Tuesday, August 23 at 2pm, Thursday, August 25 at 8:30pm, and Saturday, August 27 at 6pm.

Reconciling will be presented at Soho Playhouse, located at 15 Vandam Street in New York City.
