In Cold War-era American suburbia, two housewives clash over issues of cultural identity, gender, and fertility in a world where the concept of the "Ideal Woman" is as ready-made as a Betty Crocker cake mix.
As ICE raids throughout the United States continue to instill fear, xenophobia, and prejudice in those living within our borders, Recipe for a Witch Hunt by Covi Loveridge Brannan takes us back to another time in American history where scare tactics dominated and neighbors were being turned against each other for fear of an "Enemy" which was largely invisible.
After being nominated for BEST SHORT PLAY and three BEST ACTRESS awards at NY Winterfest 2019, this intimate production, directed by Federica Borlenghi, returns with the same acclaimed cast, featuring Covi Loveridge, Nadine Reumer, and Lily Lewinter (The Blacklist ).
Performances run August 14-17th at Manhattan Repertory Theater as a part of their annual Summer Shorts festival, Series 1.
