Queens Theatre, theatre 167 Present World Premiere of JACKSON HEIGHTS 3 AM

Queens Theatre in association with theatre 167 presents JACKSON HEIGHTS 3 AM, a new play conceived and directed by Ari Laura Kreith. The two companies have collaborated to present the play at two venues-first at PS 69 (77-02 37th Avenue) in Jackson Heights (Jan 13-22) and then at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Ave So. in Flushing Meadow Corona Park) (Jan 27-Feb 5).

Seven distinct voices of playwrights Jenny Lyn Bader, J. Stephen Brantley, Ed Cardona, Les Hunter, Tom Miller, Melisa Tien and joy Tamasko have explored the most culturally diverse neighborhood in the world in the wee hours of the morning. It was written using collaborative methods developed by theatre 167 with the playwrights sharing characters and storylines, melding distinct voices and languages into one whole.

JACKSON HEIGHTS 3 AM features Roberto Araujo, Varin Ayala, Farah Bala, Cynthia Bastides, Rajes Bose, J. Stephen Brantley, Arlene Chico-Lugo, Ross DeGraw, Nick Fehlinger, Marcelino Feliciano, Kevin Hoffman, John. P. Keller, Alex Kip, Ephraim Lopez, Neal Mayer, Nina Mehta, Segey Nagorny, Flor De Liz Perez, Indika Senanayake, Josie Whittlesey and Shivantha Wijeshina. Set and projection design by Andrew Lazarow, costume design by Georgie Landy and sound design by Ben Rodman.

Performance schedule at Queens Theatre are as follows: Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm. Tickets for performance at Queens Theatre (and PS 69) are priced at $18.00.

Queens Theatre, under the artistic leadership of Executive Director Ray Cullom is proud to join forces with theatre 167 for this production. It is the premiere home for interNational Theatre, music, dance in the borough of Queens and this year has begun a number of developmental projects including the season opening musical “CHIX 6”.
