Queens Theatre presents the U.S. premiere of $PENT, a Canadian import that skewers the global financial crisis. Tickets for the two-week premiere run are on sale now at the Queens Theatre Box Office (14 United Nations Ave South in Flushing Meadows Corona Park), online at queenstheatre.org or by phone at 718.760.0064.
Winner of Toronto’s Dora Award for Best Performance, $PENT is a funny, fast paced and poetic commentary on the greed that caused the worldwide financial crisis. Two actors—Ravi Jain and Adam Paolozza—play 20 characters from around the world in this physical and comedic tour de force. Originally produced by Toronto’s Theatre Smith-Gilmour, the show played a sold-out run at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2011.
$PENT will play the Studio Theatre at Queens Theatre tonight, April 27-May 6. Performances are Friday at
7:30pm, Saturday at 2 & 8pm, Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are $25.
