The Promethean Theatre Company will present a rendition of Shakespeare's Hamlet, directed by Jack Young, from January 8 - January 22, 2010.

Promethean recreates Shakespeare's classic tale with their signature fast paced modern edge. The play, set in Denmark, recounts how Prince Hamlet exacts revenge on his uncle Claudius, who has murdered Hamlet's father, the King, and then taken the throne and married Gertrude, Hamlet's mother. The play vividly charts the course of real and feigned madness-from overwhelming grief to seething rage-and explores themes of treachery, revenge, incest, and moral corruption.

The cast is led by Promethean members Lenny Banovez, Laura Fry, and Raven Peters. They are joined on stage by an Brad Makarowski, Jack Cirillo, Amanda Duffy, Terry Layman, Brent Vimtrup,Adam Perabo, Jake Russo, Marcus Johnson, Steve Watts, Libby Ewing, Vance Barber, and Billy Harley.
