Playhouse Creatures will commence its 6th Concert Performance of the original rock opera, Lady Monday, at the TACT Studios on 900 Broadway at 19th Street. Full event details, below.

At that time, the company will formally unveil its fresh new branding, as well as its Mainstage programming for the 2016 - 2017 season: One Flea Spare by Naomi Wallace and Mrs. Packard by Emily Mann

The 2016-17 season will also include: the Annual New Works Festival (winter '17), the Annual Tennessee Williams Festival (summer '17), and the expansion of PCTC's community outreach programming ("Little Creatures Act Out" at risk youth theatre camps, "Creatures Serving Seniors," and the annual Red Cross blood drive with American Candy).

PCTC Producing Artistic Director, Joseph W. Rodriguez, says of the season, "We are honored, excited, and terrified, by the ambitious line up we have scheduled. We have chosen a bold path - especially, the conscious choice of two women playwrights and two women directors. That two iconic figures of the theatre world - Emily Mann and Naomi Wallace - have chosen to work closely with us, on these productions, only makes us prouder and more dedicated to serving their unique visions, and sharing their important works."

PCTC, founded in 2009, is a company of diverse theatre artists dedicated to honoring and fostering the past, present, and future of the American Theatre.

II. Mainstage Production of Naomi Wallace's One Flea Spare, directed by Caitlin McLeod 20 Year Anniversary Production, and first in NYC since its 1996 debut at The Public Theatre

October 16 - October 23, 2016 at the Sheen Center (18 Bleecker St)

One Flea Spare is set in plague-ravaged 17th century London, where a wealthy, older, couple is preparing to flee their home when a mysterious sailor and young girl appear sneaking into their boarded up house. Now, quarantined together for 28 days, the only thing these strangers fear more than the Plague is each other. Definitions of morality are up for grabs and survival takes many forms in this dark, fiercely intense and humorous play. The production is headlined by Broadway veterans, Concetta Tomei and Gordon Joseph Weiss (final cast and creatives to be announced soon).

III. Mainstage Production of Emily Mann's Mrs. Packard, directed by Emily Ranii a co production with Bridge Repertory Theater (www.bridgerep.org)

Mar 12 - Apr 9, 2017 at the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center (Cambridge, MA)

After a critically-acclaimed 2013 co-production of Stephen Jeffreys' The Libertine, PCTC is excited to partner with Bridge Repertory Theater to bring this rarely produced, large cast, ensemble piece to the stage, under the direction of Emily Ranii. Proclaimed insane by her husband, Elizabeth Packard is committed to an insane asylum against her will. Inspired by true events, Emily Mann's stunning drama chronicles one woman's struggle to fight for her life and, in the process, right a system gone wrong.
