The Bridge Production Group presents David Hare's "The Blue Room" - running now through July 29th at WhiteBox Art Space on the Lower East Side.
Directed by Artistic Director Max Hunter and featuring Resident Artist Christina Toth ("Orange is the New Black") and Max Hunter, "The Blue Room" is Hare's loose adaptation of "La Ronde" - a series of vignettes that show how chance sexual encounters travel throughout class and power in society. Last seen on Broadway in 1998 with Nicole Kidman, The Bridge Production Group is presenting "The Blue Room" with the company's visual and abstracted aesthetic, creating a multimedia immersion of light, sound, movement, and performance. The Bridge has transforming The WhiteBox Art Space on the Lower East Side, creating an immersive visual art instillation that will house performance salons - only forty audience members per performance!
The creative team includes Lighting & Video Design by Cheyenne Sykes (Williamstown, NYTW; Drake's European Tour), Costume Design by Nicolle Allen (Netflix's "The Irishman" with Martin Scorsese; "Saturday Night Live"), and Stage Management by Melissa Barry.
"The Blue Room" runs ninety minutes with no intermission.
Tickets can be found on www.bridgeproductiongroup.org and TodayTix. Performances are Wednesdays through Sundays, with matinee and evening performances on Saturdays. Tickets are limited to forty seats per performance!
