ProArts, Inc. is proud to present "Driving Miss Daisy" by Alfred Uhry as the first production of our Spring season of family friendly shows. The Pulitzer Prize winning classic will be presented for ten performances at the ProArts Playhouse in Kihei.
"Driving Miss Daisy" is directed by Jonathan Lehman, with scenery designed by Caro Walker, costumes by Robert Mackay, and lighting design by Bonnie Prucha. ProArts, Inc. productions are co-produced by Doug Kendrick and Jonathan Lehman.
Opening night is March 25 and the show plays until April 10, 2011 ; Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 3:00pm. There will be no performance on March 27. Thursday nights are Kama'aina nights with reduced rates for Hawaii residents. Reserved seat tickets are $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for students 18 & under and Kama'aina at Thursday performances.
The intimate ProArts Playhouse is located at the Azeka (Makai) Shopping Center, 1280 S. Kihei Rd. in Kihei. The Playhouse is air conditioned with 80 reserved seats. There is free parking, plenty of nearby restaurants, and an art gallery inside with works by local artists.All ages will enjoy this American classic which runs 1 hour and 40 minutes with no intermission.
