At noon tomorrow, August 25th, the final performance of James Fluhr and Company's critically acclaimed Our Lady will take place at the Living Theatre (21 Clinton Street). Last night, August 23rd, was the second sold-out performance of Our Lady to a standing ovation. Check out photos of the production below!

Critics across New York City are lauding James Fluhr's brave performance in his original solo play – a modern fairytale and theatrical fantasy that follows a suicidal teen as he is transformed by his choice of self-acceptance and life.

Our Lady was born in May 2011 as a public thesis presentation at Boston University. After receiving positive feedback from peers and faculty, Our Lady was produced as a workshop in association with the Boston Center for American Performance and the Boston University New Play Initiative in October 2011. In January 2012, Our Lady was a part of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival where it was nationally recognized for Distinguished Performance of a Lead Actor and Distinguished Production of a New Play. Most recently, Our Lady was presented in April 2012 as part of the first Lougheed-Kofoed Festival for the Arts at the State University of New York, Potsdam.

James Fluhr is a writer, designer, actor and director. A graduate of Boston University (CFA'11), he has spent the last year writing and performing his original solo performance, Our Lady, for the Massachusetts and New York communities. His performance of Our Lady for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival was awarded Distinguished Performance of a Lead Actor and Distinguished Production of a New Play. His scenic design for Boston Center for American Performance' s production of The Road to Mecca won the IRNE award for best scenic design for a small company. He was also the first recipient of the Karen Carpenter Award for Excellence in Theatre Arts at Boston University. His training primarily lies in scenic design and physical performance.
