James Rado, co-creator of HAIR, celebrated his 83rd Birthday on Friday, January 23rd, by attending the Secret Theatre Musicals' production of HAIR. Scroll down for photos from his visit!

Jim brought 15 friends including orginal Broadway Cast members Debbie Andrews *Crissy) and Ula Hedwig (Tribe/Bette Midler) along with fellow actor and Aquarian actor Gordon Ramsey to see the production of Hair currently playing at The Secret Theatre.

Jim joined the cast and audience onstage for the 'dance party' that follows the bows at the end of the show proving that 83 is only a number. Director Richard Mazda (Richard III/Fagin) presented Rado with a framed poster of the show which was signed by the entire cast. Delicious cakes and a mystery cocktail ensured that this was a historic Hair dance party.

The cast had previously met Jim when he attended the rehearsal on the Friday the week before. Ever a professional, and with Mazda's blessing, he took notes throughout and gave insightful notes to the cast.

Also at this Friday's show was Debbie Andrews who played Crissy at age 16, it was a delightful moment when The Secret's Crissy, Mary Linehan (Honestly Abe) met Debbie. The pair immediately bonded. Mr Rado was also extremely complimentary, having been the original 'Claude' when he met Torrey Wigfield (Lost River) who is playing the current Claude at the Secret.
