Ferenc Molnar's Liliom, the classic play that inspired Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein's musical Carousel, has not seen a full production in New York City in over five decades. The production, directed by Artistic DirectorSteven Carl McCasland, will star the previously announced Gerrard Lobo as the beautiful but brutish Liliom andMorgan DeTogne as the only woman he has ever loved, Julie.
Beautiful Soup Theater is currently raising additional funds to produce the large-scale revival, which will be set in the original period. To donate, or see their teaser trailer, visit their IndieGogo campaign at: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-us-revive-liliom/x/217545.
