Sonnet Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce a hilarious new adaptation of Carlo Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters, with original music by Bandits on the Run and members of the company, adapted and directed by Nicolas Minas (Assistant Director Driving Miss Daisy on Broadway, Sweeney Todd Live at Lincoln Center). The Servant of Two Masters will play a limited engagement at Teatro LATEA (Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center, 107 Suffolk Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10002). Performances begin Friday, April 17 (Preview performance) and continue through Saturday, May 2. Opening Night is Saturday, April 18 (8 p.m.). Scroll down for a sneak peek at the cast in rehearsal!

Sonnet Rep brings the street to the stage in this new take on the classic comedy The Servant of Two Masters, a wild and zany farce of disguises, tricks, traps and lovers-back-from-the-dead. This hilarious modern adaptation will feature the robust talents of some of NYC's street performers to create a mosaic of music, beatboxing, dance and laugh-out-loud comedy that is not to be missed.

Coats* (On the Levee -LCT3; The Merry Wives of Windsor and Two Gentlemen of Verona -The Public; Helen Hayes Award winning Invisible Man; Barrymore Award winning Distant Fires; SE Premiere Clybourne Park) as Pantalone, Adrian Blake Enscoe as Silvio, Kareem M. Lucas* (Romeo and Juliet - Williamstown Theater Festival) as Truffaldino, Libby Matthews as Beatrice, Ronald Alexander Peet* (Libby the Trixter - Atlantic Theatre Company; The Golem of Havana - Barrington Stage; over 30 roles with American Shakespeare Center) as Florindo, Jessie Shelton* (Patrick Barlow's A Christmas Carol Off-Broadway) as Clarice, Regina Strayhorn as Brighella, Rocky Vega (Comedy of Errors - Shakespeare & Co) as Zanni and Matthew "Mega Watts" West as Zanni.

The production features Set Design by Keven Lock (Godspell Off-Broadway, 30th anniversary production of Hair, art director ABC's Good Morning America; Additional Art Direction: All My Children, ABC Sports, 20/20, ABC'S London News Bureau and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve for the last 14 years; Earthquake Show/Ride for Universal Studios Florida, and the feature film Going All The Way with Ben Affleck), Lighting Design by Christina Watanabe (Under the Radar - The Public; lighting coordinator for Alice Tully Hall, '13 Lincoln Center Fest), Costume Design by Nicole V. Moody (Bucks County Playhouse, American Theatre Dance Workshop. Marvell Rep), Sound Design by Janie Bullard (Broadway's Hand to God; Recipient of the USITT/LDI Rising Star Award for 2014, was named an Indie Theatre Person of the Year for 2013 and received 3 Best Sound Design nominations for the 2014 NYIT Awards), and Prop Design by Shana McKay Burns (art director ABC's Good Morning America). Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie (Apollo Theater, Ahmanson Theater, Jacob's Pillow, New York Live Arts) is the Movement Director and Dax Valdes is the Associate Director and Associate Movement Director.
