Preview performances of Sean Pomposello's Barbicide began Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street). Opening night is set for Thursday, October 11, 2012. The Theatre Project brings you just-released production shots below!

One of New York's "Adventurous New Companies" takes on a haunting reflection of the Sweeney Todd Legend in the The Theatre Project production of Sean Pomposello's new play, BARBICIDE. Directed by Christian Amato, the production will feature the developmental cast led by NYtheatre.com Person of the Year, Arthur Aulisi and Paulette Oliva.

The two will share the stage as Toddesco and Ms. Lionetti, among others, inspired by one of theatre's legendary murderous duos. They will be joined by Douglas Sharf and Angie Atkinson as a sailor and concubine who's paths cross, love forms, and disaster follows.

Tickets can be purchased at TheaterMania.com or by calling (212) 352-3101.
