This month, The Storm Theatre Company presents the North American Premiere of the 2012 Olivier Award-winning play COLLABORATORS by John Hodge, directed by Peter Dobbins. COLLABORATORS plays at Grand Hall (440 Grand Street at St. Mary's Church), opening tonight, January 14, and running through February 13, 2016. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
Hilarious and chilling, COLLABORATORS is the story of the brilliant dissident writer Mikhail Bulgakov, who is chosen by Joseph Stalin to write a celebratory bio play titled "YOUNG JOSEPH". Collaborators is a surreal imagining, based on a true story, about what happens when artists veer too far from their true path and compromise with repressive power. COLLABORATORS was originally presented at the Royal National Theatre, London, in 2011, it starred Alex Jennings as Bulgakov and Simon Russell Beale as Stalin. It won the 2012 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play.
Storm Theatre's cast includes Brian J. Carter (Off-Broadway: Wit. Film: The Family Fang Sex, Death and Bowling) as Mikhail Bulgakov, Ross DeGraw (NY: Honor Bound.
