The New York premiere of Down the Road opened June 4th and continues through the 26th at the ArcLight Theatre (152 West 71st Street).
Written by former private investigator and crime novelist Dale Whisman, Down the Road follows Ben, a Korean War veteran who returns to California to find his life has changed drastically. He sets off for middle America where he encounters a woman with five daughters in a mysterious small town. The production is directed by Juan Reinoso who also directed Down the Road's award-winning 2006 film adaptation.
Down the Road stars Renée-Michele Brunet, Renée Petrofes, Vincent Petrosini, Kyla Schoer, Kaylee Souther, Autumn Stein and Kristina Thompson. The production team includes Reynaldo Davis Carter (scenic design), Scott Franklin (lighting design), Catherine Siracusa (costume design), Sid Levitt (costume design) and Shannon Martha (stage manager).
