The Phoenix Theatre Ensemble will be presenting plays, readings, and musicals such as "Hapgood," "A Man's a Man," and "Little Red" in their 2010-11 season. All shows will be performed at THe Wild Project, an eco-friendly theatre on 195 E. 3rd Street between Avenues A and B.

The 2010-11 mainstage productions are "Hapgood" by Tom Stoppard and "Iphegenia at Aulis" by Euripides, as translated by W.S. Merwin and George E. Dimock, Jr. "Hapgood" will run from December 2-12. "Iphegenia at Aulis" will run from March 3-13.

The season's Concert Reading Series includes "A Man's A Man" and "Mother Courage and Her Children", both by Bertolt Brecth and translated by Eric Bentley, and "Silent Partners" by Charles Marowitz. "A Man's A Man" will be performed November 16, 20 & 21. "Silent Partners" will be performed February 22, 26 & 27, and "Mother Courage and Her Children" will be performed on May 10, 15 & 16.

The season's "Phoenix for the Family" musical series includes "Little Red" and "The Emperor's New Clothes", both books by Kathy Menino and music and lyrics by Ellen Mandel. "Little Red" will be performed December 4 & 11, and "The Emperor's New Clothes" will be peformed February 21, March 5 & 12.

In light of the current economic climate, the Phoenix has instituted a "Pay-What-You-Can" ticket policy. This means that we will accept whatever you can pay for your ticket (suggested prices are $25 for Mainstage &, Concert Readings Series programs, and $9 for Phoenix for the Family productions). However, Pay-What-You-Can Tickets are only available one week prior to performances.
