Petterino's (150 N. Dearborn St.), located in the heart of the Theater District, presents Monday Night Live's "4th Anniversary Show" on Monday, September 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m. with guest performers Santita Jackson, WVON-AM radio host, and the Chicago entertainer who was there when it all began, Ron Hawking, joining on-stage the ever-fabulous co-hosts Denise McGowan Tracy and Beckie Menzie for the impromptu musical showcase.
In addition to the cabaret and theater performers who stop in to sing at the open-mic night, guests will enjoy a champagne toast and anniversary cake, in celebration of the fantastic 400+ singers, from Tony Award winners to emerging artists, Monday Night Live has featured since its debut in September of 2007. Monday Night Live co-host Denise McGowan Tracy, who has been on stage and behind the scenes as part of Chicago's entertainment and events community for 30 years and served as Director of Entertainment for Navy Pier, the #1 entertainment attraction in the Midwest, continues to surprise us with her many talents; she now adds "author" to her resume with the penning of a yet-to-be-published children's Christmas storybook. Her counterpart and co-host, Beckie Menzie, has been hailed as "one of the city's finest cabaret performers," is a three-time winner of Chicago's After Dark Award for Outstanding Cabaret Artist Award and has performed at some of the nation's top venues, including
Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York. This dynamic duo adds sparkle, finesse and many laughs to Monday Night Live, the longest-running open-mic cabaret show in Chicago.
