Little Matchstick Factory has announced a series of post-show panels and discussions that take place after performances of THE OTHER MOZART, currently running at HERE (145 6th Avenue, one block south of Spring).

THE OTHER MOZART gives voice to Nannerl Mozart, Amadeus's sister, whose own musical accomplishments were eclipsed by her brother. A keyboard virtuoso and composer, Nannerl faded from history, leaving nothing behind. Featuring music by Nathan Davis and Phyllis Chen (members of the International Contemporary Ensemble, currently in residence at the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center) THE OTHER MOZART brings this forgotten musical prodigy to life.

The panel discussions examine the loss of Narnnerl's work while also discussing the current challenges faced by women in creative fields.

Each discussion takes place immediate following the performance:

June 23
"Women in Film" with Naomi McDougall Jones (actor/writer/producer), Caitlin Gold (actor/producer), Stacie Capone (actor), Meghan Scibona (writer/director/producer), and Heather Taylor (writer and filmmaker)

June 24
"Women Composers" with Phyllis Chen (pianist and composer, member of International Contemporary Ensemble), Du Yun (composer, multi-instrumentalist and performance artist), and Suzanne Farrin (composer)
