Old Sound Room, a new company founded by 12 colleagues from the Yale School of Drama, presents it's inaugural production, OLD SOUND ROOM LEAR. An aggressive adaptation of Shakespeare's play, this production utilizes his words, frenzied movement set to original beat-driven music, and new text culled from interviews with residents of the Lillian Booth/Actors Fund Assisted Living Facility.
O.S.R.LEAR explores generational division and asks the questions: What do we owe our elders, what might they owe us, and what can we learn from one another?
