NyLon Fusion Collective presents the world premiere of You Are Here by members of its Writers Collective: Jack Karp, Kate Mulley, Alisha Silver and Joseph Samuel Wright. Directed by Jerry Ruiz, the show will run November 4-20th at the Gene Frankel Theatre with two Planet Connections Artists Grant Shows. Performances are Friday at 7 pm, Saturday at 2 pm and Sunday at 7 pm.

You Are Here follows three central story lines about home and finding and creating your own family: a troupe of drag queens and celebrity impersonators touring across middle America; an American woman fighting to stay in London permanently; and a young married couple on a less than ideal honeymoon in Japan. Woven into the fabric of these stories are reflections of the nature of travel, self-exploration and transformation. Created collaboratively during workshops over the summer, You Are Here explores themes of rootlessness and alienation and features a rich ensemble of memorable characters.

Director Jerry Ruiz's most recent credits include Enfrascada by Tanya Saracho for Clubbed Thumb Theatre, 26 Miles by Quiara Hudes, Kiss Bessamer Goodbye, The King Is Dead and Election Day and upcoming Love Goes To Press at Mint Theater. Ruiz has developed work at Second Stage, Soho Rep, The Public, The Atlantic, Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Playwrights Realm and is a recipient of the 2009-2011 NEA/TCG Career Development for Directors Grant.

The cast for You Are Here includes: Caroline Bloom, Elyssa Jakim, Brandon Lavon Hightower, Rebecca Hirota, Justin Maruri*, Mark Souza, Wheaton Simis and Nick Walkonis in an Equity Approved Showcase.

Nylon Fusion Collective is a collective of diverse artists with trans-Atlantic roots that explore classical and contemporary work through an ensemble approach.

Performance dates are Friday, November 4th, 11th and 18th at 7pm, Saturday, November 5th, 12th and 19th at 2pm and Sunday, November 6th, 13th and 20th at 7 pm. Opening night is Friday November 4th at 7pm.
