Join New York Theatre Experiment (NYTE) for the concluding Generations event of the 2010 season! The Generations Project will once again bring together artists and leaders, across generations, for this forum on vision, leadership and mentorship in the arts. Bring a friend, invite a mentor, and join the dialogue, as we continue to discuss the future of our art form and our role in moving it forward. Our last Generations event SOLD OUT and featured Seth Barrish, Anne Bogart, Virginia Louloudes, Beth Milles and Maryellen Kernaghan.

We are proud to announce this inspiring evening will feature the incredible Annie Baker, Michael Mayer, and Denis O'Hare.

Annie Baker's playwriting credits include "Body Awareness" at the Atlantic Theater Company, "Circle Mirror Transformation" at Playwrights Horizons (and numerous regional theatres) and most recently " The Aliens," which premiered at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

Michael Mayer's Broadway directing credits include "American Idiot", "Everyday Rapture" and "Spring Awakening", among many others.

Denis O'Hare's credits include "True Blood," "Brothers & Sisters," "The Proposal," "Milk," "Michael Clayton," "Half Nelson," "Garden State," and many more. He most recently starred in the Broadway play "Elling" with Brendan Fraser and Jennifer Coolidge.

Questions to be addressed include:
- In a profession fraught with uncertainty, how can individual artists develop and pursue a vision for their careers?
- Is it possible, in spite of sense of isolation, ambiguity and lack of professional control many artists grapple with, to carve out a deliberate and meaningful career path?
- How can artists live their vision?
- What is the individual artist's role in the future of the theatre?
- What are some of the best things you believe artists can do to cultivate a sense of career longevity and sustained creative inspiration?

After the evening concludes, please join us for informal discussion, mingling and drinks.

There is no cost for admission, but this event is nearly SOLD OUT! To claim your spot, email info@newyorktheatreexperiment.org now!

ABOUT NEW YORK THEATRE EXPERIMENT:

New York Theatre Experiment (NYTE), founded in 2004, is dedicated to artistic exploration and innovation. Each season is guided by an "experiment," which shapes and influences the works of theatre we develop and produce, leading to an examination of the current cultural moment.

NYTE proudly serves as a creative home and developmental forum for leaders in the American theatre. We challenge artists to continually explore the creative process and offer a supportive environment for ongoing growth and development. We view each project as an experiment, an opportunity to discover new ways to bring vibrant works of theatre to full and powerful life.

NYTE is also committed to the development of the next generation of theatre artists and audiences. NYTE's unique educational programs are designed to empower and inspire, and like our productions, are intended to make theatre accessible, relevant and personal for all audiences.

New York Theatre Experiment is comprised of
Executive Producer/Director of Casting- Rori Bergman
Director of Community Relations- Emberli Edwards
