The New York Neo-Futurists recently welcomed six new members to the ensemble.

The new ensemble members are actor/director/stand-up comedian Christopher Borg (most recently seen at La MaMa Etc.), actor/writer Claudia Alick (HBO's Def Poetry Jam), Eevin Hartsough (The Roundabout Theater's The Miracle Worker), Erica Livingston, actor/playwright Jeffrey Cranor (Pushing Mambo, Everything's Fine) and actor/director/writer Joe Basile (The Griffin Theater in Chicago, Ensemble Studio Theater, Harvey Finklestein Productions).

The company will expand its extensive body of Neo-Futurist plays-fast approaching 800. These writers/directors/performers currently present their production of Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind every Friday and Saturday night at 10:30 pm at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th St btw. 2nd and 3rd Ave.).

The NY Neo-Futurists, recipients of the 2006 NYIT Award for Outstanding Performance Art Production, weekly create Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, which is "an ever-changing race-against-the-clock attempt to perform a 'menu' of 30 original plays in 60 minutes. The unifying element of the show is that the ensemble members appear as themselves on stage, speaking directly from personal experience."

Tickets cost $10 plus the roll of a six-sided die ($11-$16) and are available at the door or at www.theatermania.com.
