It's 1924 at the summer house of Rich Old Mr. Pennington (John Alban Coughlan). Bill (Scott Guthrie), his nephew and presumed heir, is entertaining friends to the envy of the girls of the orphanage next door run by Mrs. Wagstaff (Mary Stout). Two of the twins - May (Diane Phelan) and Dixie (Chelsea Barker) sneak over the garden wall to pick flowers and confess to Bill their fear that they may never be adopted. The assemblEd Pennington clan finds out they are to be disinherited and the shock prompts Bill's girlfriend Babe (Sara Jayne Blackmore) to dump him. Old Mr. P intends to adopted a boy and girl and make them his heirs. The boy, Horace (Graham Bailey), we find out is the nephew of a small-time thief, Uncle Jo (Paul Romero) and both plan to rob the house. They are interrupted by Bill's best friend, Judson (Graham Stuart Allen). Dixie is attracted to Horace, and May is attracted to Bill, but she is selected by Mr. P. to be adopted and marry Horace. By the end of Act II the right girl gets the right guy and justice triumphs. Helping sort out the confusion are William Broderick, Brian Maxsween, Caitlin McBride, Steve Parmenter, Jacey Powers, Angelina Sark, Jason Simon, Barbara (Babs) Winn, and AaRon Young.
