Moisty The Snowman magically comes to life this December in the original musical, Moisty The Snowman Saves Christmas, written by Bradford Scobie. The legendary Dixon Place will be presenting Moisty for four nights only: Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11 at 9:30pm. Moisty The Snowman Saves Christmas was originally presented as part of 2009's New York Musical Theater Festival special events series where it enjoyed a SOLD OUT run.

Moisty The Snowman Saves Christmas is a naughty but nice holiday musical fairy tale of how one flamboyant but innocent New York City snowman saves Christmas from the Evil Mayor of New York Town. Moisty learns that with enough tenacity and tinsel, one swishy little snowman can make a difference of Christmas proportions.

Mr. Scobie, who in addition to writing the book and lyrics, also plays Moisty the Snowman, explains, "Moisty The Snowman Saves Christmas, is a kiddy show for adults. I was inspired by Sid and Marty Kroft and the Rankin and Bass animated Christmas specials of my youth." Moisty has attracted a star studded cast which includes: New York comedy legend and Moisty narrator Murray Hill, Steven Hayes (Trick, Big Gay Musical, Tired Old Queen at the Movies) as a hilarious Santa who has a big secret to reveal, Patricia Dell as the Mayor, Dorian Shorts as Yo-Yo the Elf, Deanna Glover as Jaggedy Anne and Stephen Vara as the Snow Monster, with musical direction by Paul Leschen.

Moisty The Snowman Saves Christmas is directed by Scott Faris (Chicago, Bette Milder's The Showgirl Must Go On, Walking with Dinosaurs) with musical staging by Joyce Chittick and is being produced by The Work Room Productions.

The Dixon Place Lounge will be offering drink specials from 8pm to 1am the evening of each performance. Show your program at the bar and get $1.00 off your drink and enjoy a very special Moisty Martini, the "Moistini". The audience is also encouraged to stay after the show to meet the cast!
