"I'd rather be on junk with some gutter gorgeous punk"

Billy is an All-American boy from Kansas. We meet him through a series of 12 Step meetings.
Billy likes men and he likes drugs. See, it all started back home with his humpy older co-worker who introduced him to the pleasures of man-flesh-- and crack. In College he takes a little detour with the strapping, exotic Athena, his best girlfriend, who turns him on to pot and acid. Back home to care for his ailing Dad, he discovers Oxycontin in the medicine cabinet and it, and the attentions of a nice guy in the neighborhood get him through the long, sad days as his father wastes away.
Next stop New York City, a wonderland of hot men and hotter drugs. He runs through the pharmacological alphabet: E, Special K, GHB and "the tart we call Roxy."

He settles on his drug of choice, Meth--with terrifying, exhilarating and damaging consequences.

"Hello, My Name Is Billy" is an edgy, tune-filled, filthy and unapologetic joyride (with lots of bumps along the way) through an All- American landscape, littered with hot bodies, crack pipes, vials and little baggies. It is also one sensitive man's struggle to keep his heart open through the challenges of a complicated life. Billy's story is backed up by keyboard, percussion, guitar and a cello.

Tim Aumiller's play Flight, seen at the recent NY Fringe Festival, was selected as a "Critic's Pick" by Backstage and garnered a Talkin' Broadway Festival Award for its lead actor, Todd Lawson. NO HOPE Productions was started by Aumiller and Schneider in 2003 with their darkly comic musical DOSE! - produced at the East Village's Kraine Theatre. Since, they have presented several new musical works including Mischief, The Road to Nowhere, Still In Love, and Breaking the Habit at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre. In addition, they produced Angel/Buddy for Fringe 2007 with NO HOPE Resident Producer James McNeel, who joins the team again for BILLY. For more information please visit: www.nohopeproductions.com.
