Manhattan Theatre Mission is thrilled to announce the New York premiere of their newest production, "keepingabreast," a play delving into the younger side of breast cancer, which will run from October 21st through 29th at the Looking Glass Theatre.
"Keepingabreast" follows 28-year old Mina who, after being faced with the choice between a mastectomy or lumpectomy, sets out on a mission to explore the true meaning of breasts, their impact on society, and just why do they call them ta-tas anyway? A funny and touching look into a normally dark subject, this dramatic comedy has something that everyone can relate to.
Written by Jackie Rosenfeld, keepingabreast will be directed by breast cancer survivor, Heidi Smith, with a cast that includes Cameran Hebb as Mina, Kimberly Shoniker and Kire Tosevski.
Tickets to the show are $20 and available at manhattantheatremission.com. The Looking Glass Theatre is located at 422 West 57th St, New York, NY 10019.
