Manhattan Children's Theatre presents the fifth and final production of its 2009-2010 season: Stanley's Party - a world premiere musical adaptation of the popular books Stanley's Party and Stanley's Wild Ride.

MCT Artistic Director Bruce Merrill directs the lively new production featuring lyrics and music by Seth Bisen-Hersh, book by Caroline Cala. Performances run April 24 - May 31, 2010 on Saturdays and Sundays at noon and 2pm (Special Memorial Day shows Monday, May 31 at noon and 2pm).

Stanley is really a good dog. Really. He listens, does what he's told and never makes a mess. Well, almost never - It's just that he's dying for excitement and temptation is around every corner. All ages will love to test the boundaries with Stanley and his friends as they realize that being on their own isn't exactly what they thought it would be.

MCT performances are also made possible in part by public funds from the Fund for Creative Communities/New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program, administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the JPMorgan Chase Regrant Fund, a project of A.R.T./New York and the NYMEX Mercantile Exchange Charitable Foundation, Credit Suisse, Select Equity Group Inc and the Broder Family Foundation.

The cast includes Barry Shafrin (Stanley), Crystal Davidson (Alice), Kyra Bromberg (Nutsy), Ryan Makely (Elwood) and Derek Rommel (Gassy Jack)

The show is directed by Bruce Merrill with sets and props by Cully Long, costume design by Nora Gustuson, lighting design by Anjeanette Stokes, sound design and technical direction by John D. Ivy, musical direction by James Olmstead and choreography by Erin Porvaznika. The show features lyrics and composition by Seth Bisen-Hersh and a book by Caroline Cala. The production features management by Christie Love Santiago, stage management by Livia Hall, general management by Danielle Cogan and Chris Alonzo acts as managing director.

Manhattan Children's Theatre is located at 52 White Street (2 blocks south of Canal Street between Broadway & Church Streets). To reserves tickets call 212-352-3101 or visit www.theatermania.com.
