Louisville-based professional magician/autism self-advocate Cody Clark will be bringing his one-man show "Cody Clark: A Different Way of Thinking" to NYC on Wedensday, October 5th at 7:30 PM at The PIT Loft in Chelsea, Manhattan. In his show, Cody uses magic, comedy, and storytelling to give a first-person account of living with autism.

Since Cody feels his autism causes him to see the world differently, he uses his magic to visually illustrate his thought process to his audience. His routines are placed within the context of his life story, starting at birth and ending with his recent graduation from the University of Louisville. Audiences will get to join him in reliving experiences ranging from visits to his Memaw's house to the pain of romantic rejection.

Cody has been performing magic for 12 years, having found success by using his magic to spread his message of autism acceptance. He tours with his one-man show at small theatres and fringe festivals, which this year include the Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Elgin, Scranton, and Classic City fringe festivals. Cody's show has received several accolades at these festivals, including an encore run in the Cincinatti Fringe Festival's encore series and the Indianapolis Star ranking his show in their Top 10 Indy Fringe 2016 Shows. Aside from his one-man show, Cody also does public speaking and children's magic as his train conductor character Conductor Cody.

Cody's show will take place at The PIT Loft, which is located on the second floor of 154 W 29th St (b/t 6th & 7th) and can be accessed via the 1, N, and R trains to 28th St. or the 2, A, C, and E trains to Penn Station. His show will be on Wedensday, October 5th at 7:30 PM and tickets will cost $20. Tickets can be purchased at differentwaynyc.brownpapertickets.com.
