Mad Cat Productions will present The Women Of Tu-Na House as part of the 15th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC; Venue #17 Manhattan Theatre Source, 177 MacDougal Street, Fri 8/12 @ 9:15, Sun 8/14 @ noon, Weds 8/17 @ 4:15, Thur 8/18 @ 9:45, Fri 8/19 @ 5:15 and Sat 8/27 @ 3:30.

What matters most... the size of the boat or the motion of the ocean? Find out as you're whisked on a wild visit to an Asian massage parlor that offers more bang for your buck (if you know who to request) and offered a rare glimpse into a surprising, comical and sometimes sad world generally seen through almond-shaped eyes.

Written and performed by Nancy Eng, most recently seen in Pan Asian Repertory's production of WE ARE at the West End Theatre ("Nancy Eng offers an energetic and welcome comedic break..." -
NYtheatre.com 3/18/11) and directed by Ernest Abuba, enter the world of Tu-Na House and hear from the women who work there, a succession of eight disparate, distinct characters, as they search for their own happy endings.

Performed at the New Orleans Fringe Festival to a sold-out audience last November, The Women of Tu-Na House, was written and developed during Nancy's participation in Pan Asian Repertory
Theatre's Acting/Writing Workshop (PART) and NewWorks 2011; originally conceived as a showcase for three actresses but emerged as a viable one-women show after much encouragement from the PARTworkshop's instructor, Ernest Abuba, an Obie Recipient and a member of the theatre faculty at Sarah Lawrence College.
