M4M Opens The New Collectives' 2019 Season Image

The New Collectives are excited to announce the first show of their 2019 season, M4M, a seven character reimagining of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure.

Vienna is in chaos and every citizen is under surveillance. When the city finds itself in the hands of a new leader aiming to crush every unsavory impulse, how can order be restored and who will be believed when no one is what they seem?

M4M, a modern reimagining of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, is a exploration of lust, power and corruption, where everyone is willing to gamble their morality, risk their soul for sin, and sacrifice the innocent in the name of justice.

The show will run April 24th through May 11th, Wednesdays through Saturdays at IRT Theater. All shows start at 8p. M4M is presented as part of IRT Theater's 3B Residency Program. Tickets are $20 online or at the door.

M4M features Sam Leichter* as the Duke, Alejandra Mangini as Isabella, Michael Markham* as Angelo, Sarah Moore as Mariana, Giverny Petitmermet as Escalus, Khiry Walker as Claudio, and Ben Watts as Lucio.

The creative team includes Director Justin Ivan Brown, Stage Manager Lauren Winston, Set/Projection Designer Ingrid Larson, Sound Designer German Martinez, Lighting Designer Natali Arco, Costume Designer Dara Affholter, and Music Director Elizabeth May.

In continuing with The New Collectives' mission of giving back both artistically and financially, established during our 2017 Season, we will be collecting donations at the show for Womens Justice NOW. Womens Justice NOW aims to build "a future of social justice and equality for all women by mobilizing communities, developing new activist leadership, and providing direct help and advocacy to women.
