The award-winning Titan Theatre Company announced today the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of Shakespeare's tragedy RICHARD III, directed by Edward Morgan. RICHARD III will play a three-week limited engagement at Titan's home at Queens Theatre.
Performances begin Friday October 13th and continue through October 29th.
Titan's growing reputation for presenting innovative retellings of classic plays continues with Shakespeare's tale of the murderous and deformed Duke of Gloucester's bloody rise to the English throne.
"It's an extremely ambitious season for Titan this year, and our production of RICHARD III is proof of that. It's an extremely difficult play even for the largest companies to produce." said Titan Artistic Director Lenny Banovez. "However, we have assembled an amazing cast & crew, and are thrilled to be continuing our mission of providing work of the highest quality to our home borough, and all of NYC."
The production stars Lloyd Mulvey (Titan Resident Acting Company, Milwaukee Rep, Utah Shakespeare) in the Title Role, and features Michelle Duffy (Broadway LEAP OF FAITH, Off-Broadway HEATHERS) as The Duchess of York and Joseph Jefferson Award Winner Angela Iannone as Queen Margaret. The cast also includes Titan Company Members Tristan Colton, Laura Frye, Marcus Denard Johnson, Brad Makarowski, Michael Selkirk, and Guest Artists Michael Thatcher (Public Theater, Utah Shakespeare), Kevin Stanfa, Braden Spear, Andrew Garrett, R. Scott Williams, Maggie Wetzel, Adham Haddara, Quinn Theobald, and Moore Theobald. Samantha Burkard, Silas Wade, Lindsay Nance, Analiese Puzon and Molly Thomas will understudy.
Edward Morgan will Direct, wth Scenic & Lighting by Antishadows Inc, Costume Design by Leah Smith. Fight Direction by Michael Thatcher, Assistant Fight Direction by Molly Thomas. Caroline D'Angelo is the Production Stage Manager.
