The Lombardi Case is based upon a composite of several real murders that occurred in NYC in the mid 1970s. Audiences become rookie cops charged with solving the case within two hours. On the beat through the streets of Loisaida, you and your team will watch each other's backs while encountering suspicious characters: the hustler, the pimp, the junkie, just to name a few. It's up to you and your team of recruits to grill the suspects, and piece together the clues before you present your theory, identify the killer, and hope that justice will be served.
Carlo D'Amore (director) created THE LOMBARDI CASE 1975 after the success of the Drama Desk-nominated THE RYAN CASE 1873, whichlaunchedin the spring of 2009. His main objective was to create an experience that went beyond interactive theater, by bringing history alive in a visceral experience, that places the audience in the driver's seat as they live inside the action. The creation of Live IN Theater Productions marks D'Amore's first foray into experiential theater. Since last year's sold out run of THE RYAN CASE 1873 (a murder mystery set in 1870s Five Points) and THE LOMBARDI CASE 1975, D'Amore has been developing new creative content including BOOTLEGGERS RUN,an interactive walk through the Prohibition ERA.
D'Amore is a Drama Desk-nominated director (Ryan Case 1873-Unique Theatrical Experience, 2012) and an award-winning actor, playwright, and educator with more than twenty-five years of experience in theater (Broadway, off Broadway, regional, and international credits), television, national radio, and film.D'Amore has been involved in groundbreaking productions across the country.
