The award-winning Titan Theatre Company has announced cast and creative team for its upcoming production of the Charles Dickens classic A CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted by Emily Trask and Lenny Banovez.
A CHRISTMAS CAROL will play a three-week limited engagement at Queens Theatre. Performances begin Friday December 8th and continue through Friday, December 22.
Titan's award-winning and critically acclaimed musical adaptation, brings the timeless story of Ebenezer Scrooge alive onstage. This fresh and fast paced production transports audiences to Victorian England where they journey with the iconic Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by three transformational spirits from his past, present, and future who change his life forever. A classic story of redemption and forgiveness, A CHRISTMAS CAROL is the perfect theatre experience for everyone this holiday season.
For the first time in this production, the cast will feature a female Jacob Marley. Resident Acting Company Member Laura Frye will put on the chains of despair this year, and with the help of Makeup Artist Lee E. Ernst and Wig Master Lara Dalbey, will be making the transformation nightly into Scrooge's former business partner who's ghostly visit begins the tale's journey to redemption.
"It will be a challenge, but one I an extremely excited about." said Frye, "This will be my fourth Christmas Carol with Titan, and to have a chance to play Marley, and work with Lee and Lara is a dream. Make up roles are always fun. Our goal will be to make the transformation seamless, and I cannot wait to see what we come up with!"
Frye is joined by audience favorite Michael Selkirk, who returns for his third consecutive year as Ebenezer Scrooge, and an "A List" cast featuring Titan Company Members Marcus Denard Johnson as Bob Cratchit, Alyssa Van Gorder as Mrs. Cratchit, and Gregory Couba as Mr. Fezziwg. The adult company also includes Braden Spear, Lindsay Nance, Christy Richardson, Maggie Wetzel, Sara Ornelas, Jake Lesh, Analiese Puzon, Kristiana Murphy, Tyler Palma and Zoe Siegel.
Titan also features a youth cast which includes Silas Wade, Sophia Fiallo, Julia Mécher, Ruby Starr, Isabella Fiallo, Tekla Zurashvili, Melissa Muench, Mia Jacquez, and Nia Jimenez.
Titan Artistic Director Lenny Banovez will Direct. Choreographer is Laura Frye*, Scenic Design is by Michael Sabourin, Costume design is by Lorraine Smyth. Lighting Design is by Katy Atwell. Weston Wetzel is the Sound Designer. Jessica McIlquham is the Production Stage Manager.
