LUMPY BUMPY PUMPKIN, a Halloween tale with story and music by Sandra Robbins, will run October 16 0 31, 2014 at the Shadow Box Theatre.
Lumpy Bumpy Pumpkin is an original tale that, like the ugly duckling, is about someone different who finds acceptance. All the pumpkins in Farmer Joe's pumpkin patch are round and smooth and beautiful, except for Lumpy Bumpy. Everyone is sure that Lumpy will be pumpkin pie. But, of course, he wants to be a Jack O'Lantern. With comedy, compassion, and plenty of pumpkins, this Halloween story will soon have everyone singing along and rooting for the Lumpy Bumpy Pumpkin who, on Halloween night, with the help of the kids, and his friends Sammy Scarecrow, Spook the Cat and Hoot the Owl, becomes the scariest Jack O'Lantern of them all . . . learning a most important lesson along the way, that everyone is special, especially you!
