Locked In The Attic Productions and The Secret Theatre present the World Premiere of LOVE IS DEAD! at The Secret Theatre (44-02 23rd Street, Long Island City, just one subway stop from Midtown Manhattan), running tonight, September 7th, through September 23rd, 2017.
LOVE IS DEAD! A paraletic presentation of murder, deceit and sexism. The many twists and turns in the play will have you wondering whether the title holds true: Love is Dead!
Love is Dead is the fourth play written by Seanie Sugrue. It was workshopped last June in Greenwich Village and was quickly adapted into a feature film by Josh Folan and NYEH Entertainment. Love is Dead! will be the fifth play Sugrue has written, directed and produced at the Secret Theatre. He is thrilled that five of the original Black Me Out! Cast will be starring in this production.
Myles O'Connor* has been in all six of Sugrue's plays. John Warren and Patrick Brian Scherrer have both been in five and Jessica Carillo who plays Nile in Fade to Black is back as Ginger. Michael Free plays Danny Cooper in Black Me Out!. The Secret Theatre's own Richard Mazda starred as Walter in the Love is Dead! Film and reprises the role for this stage production as does Ashton Foster who will be once again be playing Nancy. Hannah Jane McMurray* takes the lead as Maggie while Ana Roshelle, Rachel Zapata and Julie Reifers all make their Locked in the Attic debut.
