Actor and comedian Kento Morita takes the reins of the hapless host in the long-running, interactive family comedy "Show Up, Kids!" in Queens at Q.E.D. in Astoria at 11 a.m. on Saturday mornings, September 21 & 28. Kento is best known for his comedic performances with The Armory, Story Pirates, Upright Citizens Brigade, Second City's conservatory program, and The Barrow Group. He is also the producer of the popular "Duty Free Live" at Caveat NYC.
This semi-improvised musical show by Peter Michael Marino, directed by Michole Biancosino, is for kids 3-10 years old and puts a wildly comedic twist on the traditional kids' show. When the main attraction doesn't show up, the host enlists the help of the kids (and their grownups) to control everything from plot to props, characters to costumes, and settings to sound in a one-of-a-kind, 45-minute laughfest.
Q.E.D. is located at 27-16 23rd Ave, Astoria, Queens 1110 near the N train Astoria/Ditmars stop.
