What do a failed soap opera star, her co-dependent teenage son, his neurotic twelve-stepping girlfriend, and the pot dealer across the hall have in common? They're each surviving members of families broken by loss. But in New York City, families aren't just broken, they're reconstituted, rebuilt and redefined. A probing and intimate look at the bonds of family, Leave Me Green investigates the dream of creating our own families in this city of refugees.

The cast includes Charlotte Booker (Born Yesterday on Broadway, Take Me Back at Walkerspace, Five Genocides with Clubbed Thumb), Oscar A.L. Cabrera (Marfa Lights at INTAR, Basilica at Cherry Lane), Michael Gaines and Emma Meltzer (Good Men Wanted at Ars Nova, Lost Tribe at Abrons Arts Center).

The production team includes Jessica Parks (Set Design), Nicholas Houfek (Lighting Design), Lux Haac (Costume Design), Jeanne Travis (Sound Design) and Kristine Schlachter (Production Stage Manager).

Lisi DeHaas is a writer/performer who was born and raised in New York City. After graduating with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance from Amherst College she migrated to San Francisco, where she created multi-disciplinary solo performance and ensemble derived theatre for over a decade. Lisi studied television writing at UCLA and Warner Bros. Writers' Workshop. Since moving back to New York City with her partner and son she has focused on writing plays. Her play, Minerva (paralleling performance artists in late 20th century San Francisco with prostitutes in the Gold rush), was developed in Monarch Theater's Playwriting Intensive with Migdalia Cruz and John Jesurun. Leave Me Green was conceived in a weekend intensive with Tanya Barfield, and developed in workshops with Karen Hartman. Jay Stull directed a reading in July 2014, which led to them working together on the play's World Premiere at The Gym at Judson.

Jay Stull is a Brooklyn-based playwright and director. His recent New York directing credits include Enter At Forest Lawn (The Amoralists), Take Me Back (Kindling), and Rantoul and Die at The Cherry Lane (The Amoralists). His play, The Capables, was produced in 2013 by The Gym at Judson and Neighborhood Productions, and will be produced by the Bloomington Playwrights Project in May of 2015. The first episode in his cycle of Streepshow! plays was produced last summer as part of ANT Fest 2014. His work has been seen at or developed by the Lark Play Development Center, Ars Nova, Fresh Ground Pepper, Ugly Rhino, The Culture Project, and Joe's Pub with The Civilians. He is the former Literary Manager of The Amoralists, where he curated the Amoralab and Amoralfest seasons from 2012 to 2014. He was a member of Fresh Ground Pepper's Playground Play Group in 2014, is a Steering Committee Member of the Lark Play Development Center's Literary Wing, and is a member of The Civilians 2014/2015 R&D Group as a director.

The Gym at Judson is accessible from the A, B, C, D, E, F or M train to West 4th Street, N or R train to 8th Street or #1 train to Christopher Street.
