Jacques Brel RETURNS announced that it will be extending its run through October at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, NYC. September dates are Wednesday, Sept 14th and Saturday, September 24th at 7pm. Presented by Dan Whitten, Mark Beigelman, Peter Martin and Tiger Theatricals. Jacques Brel RETURNS... is a cabaret production featuring highlights from Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris as well as Brel songs not in the original score.
In addition to
Micheline Van Hautem, who hails from Belgium and has worked with Brel's nephew Bruno, the September cast includes
Ereni Sevasti (Carnival at The Kennedy Center),
Arlo Hill (
City Center Encores), PJ Bacarri, (
Jacques Brel) and Musical Director
Rick Hip-Flores (Billy Elliott and
Jacques Brel). Others in the rotating cast include
Robert Cuccioli,
Gay Marshall,
Tamra Hayden,
Jean Brassard,
Natascia Diaz,
Karen Kohler, Olivia Stevens and
Micheline Van Hautem.
Created by
Dan Whitten, who produced the hit revival and CD in 2006/2007, and featuring musical direction by
Rick Hip-Flores, the evening features
Jacques Brel favorites including "Carousel," "My Childhood," "If We Only Have Love," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," "The Bulls," "Jackie," "Amsterdam" and "I Loved".
