Members of Broadway Serves (www.broadwayserves.org) and others are expected to participate. Broadway performers and musicians will deliver a pre-matinee ballad, beat, classic, greeting, hello, hook, hum, hymn, poem, spoken-word, standard, track or tune in support of Veterans; plus sign autographs, and also share HARMONY on a state-of-art sound-stage for a dynamic audience of Veterans, military personnel, students, parents, area seniors, along with tourists, passers-by, work-day shoppers, and Broadway/entertainment supporters. Attendees are encouraged to bring along a canned good that will help benefit the much-needed food drive collection efforts of The Bowery Mission (www.bowery.org).
Broadway Brunchtime Series was created by Pump SportsEnt in June 2014 where once a month Broadway performers, entertainers, musicians, media personalities, pro athletes, and other notables volunteer from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to serve meals, share cheer, sing, read, and also to extend HOPE to diverse audiences in New York City.
Broadway's Arbender Robinson ("LES MISERABLES") was the co-curator for Season 1 of the Broadway Brunchtime Series, along with Guest Music Directors: Dan Cake, Jeff Cubeta, Alvin Ellsworth Hough, Jr. ("The Color Purple"/"Motown The Musical"), and Jim Lowe ("LES MISERABLES"). Broadway Brunchtime Series will present its "The Stars Are Brightly Shining" Annual Holiday Benefit Concert in December. Broadway Brunchtime Series is dedicated in living honor of Mary Lorrie Davis (Broadway veteran, original cast of HAIR).
"Broadway Brunchtime Series" is a great performance-experience that equally appeals beyond the stage to caring and concerned Broadway performers/musicians and savvy, diverse entertainment-consumer audiences.
