An international company brings A Philosophical Protest to Planet Connections this summer.
A director from England, an actor and assistant director from South Africa, and a stage manager from here in New York bring our A Philosophical Protest to Planet Connections this summer.
Opening on the streets of Manhattan, a young woman, experiencing an emotional crisis, decides to stage a protest against God, which rankles a young man passing by. Their collision and subsequent interactions create deep discussions about love and loss; deep sadness and deeper poverty; and of course, God and the world. Was this a chance meeting or fate? God knows!
The 2017 Planet Connection Theatre Festivity runs June 12 - July 9 at The Clemente, 107 Suffolk Street, NYC. A Philosophical Protest performs June 20 @ 9:15 PM; June 24 @ 5:30 PM; June 26 @ 7:00 PM; June 29 @ 9:00 PM; July 2 @ 1:45 PM; and July 5 @ 7:00 PM. For tickets, visit PlanetConnections.org.
Planet Connections Theatre Festivity are multiple theater, film and music festivals. Planet Connections' artists use their work to shed light on causes that matter and inspire audiences to get involved. All of PCTF's artists raise awareness for an organization or topic of their own selection.
