The Instant Shakespeare Company, which performs readings of Shakespeare's plays throughout Manhattan, is celebrating its eleventh season, the New York Times reports.  The company performs the complete works of Shakespeare, usually in libraries, each year, frequently without rehearsing.  This season, the company is also including some plays that were not written by Shakespeare, including Aristophanes' LYSISTRATA.

Founder Paul Sugarman told the Times, "We have professional actors, we have Equity members, and people who are just really big Shakespeare fans who say they want to participate."

The season will continue through December.  Coming up soon are ROMEO AND JULIET, which will be performed at 1:00pm on July 17 at the Riverside Branch of the New York Public Library, 127 Amsterdam Avenue (at 6th Street), and TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA, which will be performed at 6:30pm on July 19 at the Mid-Manhattan Branch of the New York Public Library, 455 Fifth Avenue (at 40th Street).  For more information, call (973) 980-2208, visit groups.yahoo.com/group/instantshakespeare, or visit the Company's Facebook page.
