About two dozen plays, hot off their hit runs at the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival, are ready to be discovered by the rest of the world. Martin Denton, founder and editor of Indie Theater Now, announced the first 12 script titles that will be included in this collection, representing the diversity, vibrancy, invention, energy, and fun of FringeNYC.

Indie Theater Now is the revolutionary way to experience contemporary American drama on the Internet. Tens of thousands of theater artists, teachers, students, and audience members browse its selection of more than 600 plays by over 300 indie theater playwrights, and then purchase Digital Plays to read online. ITN features collections of excellent scripts from every FringeNYC since the first one in 1997, including seminal works by Brian Parks, John Clancy, Saviana Stanescu, Qui Nguyen, Mac Rogers, Collaboration Town, and dozens of other contemporary indie playwrights, all of whom received their first major recognition at FringeNYC.

Today's announced plays and playwrights for the 2013 FringeNYC Collection are: OLD FAMILIAR FACES by Nat Cassidy, STRANGE RAIN by Lynda Crawford, LANDSCAPE WITH MISSING PERSON by John Crutchfield, SOMEWHERE SAFER by Lauren Ferebee, STRANDED ON MOTOR PARKWAY by Dan Fingerman, LIGHTS NARROW by Vincent Marano, A FALLOPIAN FAIRY TALE by Marisa Marquez, WORST YEAR EVER by Charlotte Miller, SUICIDE MATH by Jim Shankman, NICHOLAS MAEVE MARIANNE by Matthew Stephen Smith, BREAKING KAYFABE by Temar Underwood, and AUTUMN IN ANDROMEDA by Jonathan Wallace.

Additional plays will be announced later this week. The New York International Fringe Festival runs until August 25.
