In The Wings To Present INTO THE WOODS March 16-25 At Snug Harbor Music Hall ImageIn The Wings Productions, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tanya Glassman and Executive Producer Adam Glassman, is proud to present Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's award-winning musical Into the Woods from March 16 through 25 at Snug Harbor's historic Music Hall.

"We're thrilled to open our eighth season with Into the Woods," said Artistic Director Tanya Glassman. "It's been a joy exploring this masterwork of musical theatre and we're looking forward to sharing it with Staten Island audiences."

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece about wishes, family and the choices we make.

The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. Inspired by the timeless tales of The Brothers Grimm, Into The Woods tells the story of a Baker and his Wife who journey into the woods on a quest to lift a witch's curse. On the way they cross paths with Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Cinderella and a menagerie of other fairy tale characters. They each pursue individual wishes until their stories become entangled in unexpected ways - revealing what happens after "happily ever after." Stephen Sondheim's wickedly witty score weaves a magical spell with such enchanting gems as "Children Will Listen," "Giants In The Sky" and "No One Is Alone."

Into The Woods is directed by Michael Sekzer, choreographed by Tanya Glassman, with music direction by Andrew Monteleone.

The cast features Rebecca Sciannameo (The Witch), Gary Bradley (Baker), Cassandra Elyse (Baker's Wife), Jeff Bodnar (Narrator/Mysterious Man), Kristen Dalto (Cinderella), George Tsalikis (Wolf/Cinderella's Prince), Joe Gambino (Jack), Tina Barone (Jack's Mother), Dominique Treglia (Little Red), Audrey Gennaro (Rapunzel), Sebastian Rametta (Rapunzel's Prince), Anna Glenn Sparks (Stepmother), Marissa Terzino (Lucinda), Fiona Gannon (Florinda), Charles Sullivan (Cinderella's Father), Mimi McMann (Granny), Samantha Chiodo (Cinderella's Mother/Voice of the Giant), Tony Verilli (Steward).

Scenic design for Into the Woods is by Emily Maldari, costume design by Scaramouche, lighting design by Danielle Garrett, sound design by Adam Chatfield. Christopher Croscitto is Production Stage Manager.

Into The Woods premiered on Broadway November 5, 1987, where it won three Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Book, and Best Actress in a Musical (Joanna Gleason), in a season dominated by The Phantom of the Opera. Staten Islander and WCT alum Betsy Joslyn succeeded Bernadette Peters in the original Broadway production as the Witch. Vanessa Williams starred as the Witch in the 2002 Broadway revival, and WCT alum Danielle Huben joined the cast as Rapunzel during its run. A Disney film adaptation directed by Rob Marshall starred Meryl Streep, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, and Johnny Depp was released in 2014.

Performances of Into The Woods are Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 7:00pm, and Sunday at 2:00pm. Single Tickets: $33-$25. Group Rates available. For more information call (646) 780-WING. www.sishows.com
