Mondays DArk Theatre Company ("Mondays Dark") today announced the new play IF YOU START A FIRE [BE PREPARED TO BURN] will open its 2012 season in New York City. The play will run from tonight, September 14th - September 23rd at the 45th Street Theater, located at 354 W. 45th St. in Manhattan. IF YOU START A FIRE [BE PREPARED TO BURN] is an internet sex comedy for the recession generation by Kevin Kautzman that follows a young couple, Chris and Lucy, as they search for unusual, sexually charged ways to survive the difficulties of the Recession, with consequences both hilarious and shocking.
The production will be directed by Mondays Dark co-founder and resident director
Kenny Howard. Mr. Howard is a current producer of the Broadway production of EVITA and Tony Award Winning revival of THE GERSHWIN'S PORGY AND BESS. The production will feature One Life to Live alumnus
Lenny Platt with
Spencer Rose, and costume design by Project Runway finalist Joshua McKinley.
