This celebration of Eugene O'Neill's early sea plays - collectively known as the S.S. Glencairn cycle (1914-1917) - engages theater-goers in a unique performance featuring professional actors as well as Hunter College students and alumni. Together, they bring the experiences of sailors far from home to life, as dramatized by one of the true masters of American Drama. These three early one-act plays include:

Moon of the Caribbees - Fighting, singing, dancing and drinking unite sailors anchored in a port far from home as they relax with locals smuggling rum on board in fruit baskets.

Bound East for Cardiff - After an accident, a dying sailor reflects on old adventures and life at sea in a fog-shrouded ship headed from New York to Wales .

The Long Voyage Home - A sailor's plans to return home to his mother and family after a lengthy journey at sea are derailed when he visits a seedy London bar, where he is drugged, robbed, and shanghaied aboard another ship for a dangerous voyage.
