Hudson Warehouse, known as "The Other Free Shakespeare in the Park," has produced outdoor classical theater, for free, in Riverside Park for the past ten years. This year, the theater has had the opportunity to present two productions indoors. Its March show is Julius Caesar and will open tonight, March 6th for a three week run until March 23rd. Directed by Nicholas Martin-Smith.
Synopsis of Julius Caesar: "A young man struggles with his conscience as he weights the love he has for one man against his devotion to the Republic for which he stands. On the eve of crowning a man Emperor of all Rome a band of revolutionaries take a bloody stand in a desperate struggle to stop their nation from sliding into the tyranny of dictatorship."
Performances will play The Bernie Wohl Arts Center at Goddard Riverside Community Center at 647 Columbus Avenue at West 91st Street. Nearest subway is the A, C line at West 96th Street and the 1 and 2/3 express at West 96th Street.
