Horse Trade Theater Group will present THEATER IN ASYLUM's dance theater production of Revolution in 1, written by Katie Palmer in collaboration with Laura Aristovulos, Jake Lasser, Rebekah Levin, Lizzy Palmer, Russell Peck, and Marchelle Thurman. The production will be directed by Co-Artistic Directors Paul H. Bedard and Katie Palmer and will feature Laura Aristovulous, Samantha Keogh, Rebekah Levin, Lizzy Palmer, and Marchelle Thurman with Original Music Composition by Randall Benichak, Lighting Design by Dan Stearns, and Set and Costumes created by the cast.
Revolution in 1 explores the relationship between the two definitions of the word revolution: revolt and revolve. How and why do individuals take a stand? What are the eventual, and potentially inevitable, outcomes of this constant cycle of revolution?
In TIA's signature style of thrilling dance-theater performance, Revolution in 1 will suspend the audience's preconceptions, analyze the origins and myths around revolution, and leave audiences with new-found understanding and empathy. This piece has been in development all of Spring 2012.
The production will run tonight, October 2-23 at The Red Room (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), Tuesdays at 8pm. Tickets ($18, $15 students & seniors) are available online at
www.horseTRADE.info or by calling Smarttix at
